Founded in 1958, the Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS) represents more than 8,000 Information Technology (IT) Professionals in major cities across Canada.   CIPS provides leadership in information systems and technologies by developing and promoting quality standards and practices, research, certification, and professional development while safeguarding the public interest.  CIPS Regina is a designated section within Regina, Saskatchewan.

We deliver a variety of professional development and networking opportunities for local IT Professionals.  Monthly presentations are delivered to over 60 IT professionals, on average, September through June.  CIPS also organizes a day-long Spring Seminar each year, featuring speakers from across North American on a variety of IT-related topics.  Our annual Golf Tournament usually attracts 100 to 120 golfers.

Our “Women in IT” committee is working to change the negative perception teenage girls have about careers in IT through educational programs and activities that focus on the benefits of IT careers; and to increase the number of female high school students enrolling in math and science and considering a career in IT.

CIPS Regina is seeking your financial assistance for our programs to keep the costs of our events within reach for all IT Professionals. We have expanded our sponsorship program and will only be seeking financial support from the community ONCE annually.

We understand that organizations have limited sponsorship funds, so we wanted to share with you all the opportunities to support CIPS, so that you can make informed decisions on how to direct your sponsorship funds.
